Did I miss something? That was when it was still supported. I haven't used it for years, but it did output DTS wave files for DTS CD's. Same applies to DTS, although the DTS encoder seems to preserve the 24-bit nature for Core Audio somehow. The one included with Scenarist is awful, and will only accept 16-bit files and the trick to getting Dullby to sound halfway decent is to feed it with a 24-bit file even though the output is a nominal 16-bit. Getting a properly licensed encoder is a must, and for DTS the oly way to go is to get the SAS/MAS bundle (according to your needs) and the MAS also comes with the DTS-HD StreamPlayer, which is awesome and again includes a full decoder.ĭolby Digital is harder, and in the licensed area Soujnd Forge has one available from Sony Creative Software as an add-on. Nuendo DTS encoder is largely a waste of space, as it cannot output for DTS-CD at all and only does Core Audio, no ES, no 9624. Goes up to 640kbps and accepts 24-bit input. The DTS encoding suite, contrary to Dolby, is a bargain. The Nuendo DDE also includes an almost unknown Decoder as well. Nuendo has the DTS and AC3 encoder export options which work with N5.
